What fun it is to lend a horticultural hand at North County Current! Christine Davis put up with me a few years ago when she was editor of The Palm Beach Post Residences section, where I wrote a column called “The Garden Guru.” Here, we are older and wiser, and it is a privilege to pitch in again to help keep north county green.
I’ve been chairman of the horticulture program at Palm Beach State College in Palm Beach Gardens for more than one dozen years, having relocated from The University of the West Indies in Barbados to be near the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute because of perpetual problems with the peepers.
My home is in Jupiter with my wife Donna, teenage son Evan, and ol’ hound dog Goofy. Elder son Martin is an engineer in Virginia, and second son Curtis is a graduate student in Manhattan.
