Legendary musicians star in ‘Let’s Rock Palm Beach – A Tribute to Jon Stoll’

Question: What do you get when a group of local philanthropists put a bunch of rock ‘n’ rollers on the bill for a fundraising event benefiting American Cancer Society?

Answer: A helluva a night on Palm Beach.

“Let’s Rock Palm Beach – A Tribute to Jon Stoll” will take place Feb. 6, 2015, at The Mar-a-Lago Club. Special guests include Butch Trucks, drummer for and a founding member of the Allman Brothers Band, blues baddie Jonny Lang and singer Beverly McClellan, of NBC television reality show The Voice fame.

Chairwoman Lori Stoll, wife of the late concert promoter for whom the event is named, also rounded up the American Vinyl All Star Band: Jeff “Skunk” Baxter (The Doobie Brothers and Steely Dan); Barry Goudreau and Fran Sheehan (Boston); Leroy Romans (The Wailers); Robert “Mousey” Thompson (James Brown Band); and Danny Beissel (Fosterchild).

In addition to the epic entertainment, a champagne reception, sit-down dinner and live auction will take place. Live-auction items include a day with NFL baller Julius Jones, the opportunity to be a character in an upcoming James Patterson novel, a trip to St. Barts and signed guitars from George Thorogood, Les Paul and others.

Festivities get underway at 6:30 p.m. The house starts rocking at 8:30 p.m. For ticket information, call 561-655-3449 or visit letsrockpalmbeach.com.
